DTPN's flagship program is called the Right Back on Track Mentoring Program ("RBT"). DTPN assigns a virtual (phone-based) coach to each student and employs a cellular location verification technology to track the student's whereabouts. If the student fails to appear at a place where he should be (e.g. home or class), the system initiates a series steps to locate the child and coax him back into compliance. The program has robust real time reporting capabilities and all interested constituents (school, truancy court, family and teachers) will know the student's status, compliance and success. Students carry a loose cellular device that offers location verification data as well as voice capabilities. The unit can call the coach, 911 and in some cases a homework hotline but no other number.

The Right Back on Track Mentoring Program works because it operates with human nature and student behavior in mind. Chronically truant children are not evil. Most need an "excuse to be good" and someone to show them the path to more responsible behavior. The program modifies the behavior of these truants by providing structure and accountability. In clear terms, the program tells the student what is expected and enforces consequences that are necessary for reinforcement. With limits established, the program provides compassion and nonjudgmental support in the form of the coach's regularly scheduled calls and unscheduled interventions as necessary.

The Dropout & Truancy Prevention Network offers a turnkey solution for your district or school that is scalable and effective. The company manages the project from start to finish. The client school, district or court need only designate a DTPN Coordinator as the primary point of contact for the company. The DTPN Coordinator will assist with student enrollment and communication. He or she will also be the recipient of the hardware devices. The company will appoint an account manager who will be the sole source of contact for reports, logistics and all manner of support.
